Bryon Noem is the husband of Republican South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem. He is an American basketball coach and insurer.

Bryon Noem continues to operate an insurance agency in Bryant and Watertown and coaches basketball.
As First Gentleman, Bryon is working to tell the stories of small town South Dakota and celebrate the hidden gems found throughout the state.
Bryon grew up in Hamlin County and graduated from Northern State University with a degree in business finance.

After college, Bryon coached basketball and worked on the family farm, eventually obtaining a position at the Bryant State Bank as an insurance agent. He later purchased the insurance portion of the bank and turned it into Noem Insurance.

Bryon and Governor Noem were married in 1992 in Watertown, South Dakota. They have three children: Kassidy, Kennedy, and Booker.
Having worked in small businesses his entire career, Bryon now operates a crop insurance agency near their home in Castlewood.
His adorable wife, Kristi Noem Is serving as the 33rd governor of South Dakota since 2019. A member of the Republican Party, she was the U.S. representative for South Dakota’s at-large congressional district from 2011 to 2019 and a member of the South Dakota House of Representatives for the 6th district from 2007 to 2011.
Kristi Noem was elected governor in 2018 and is South Dakota’s first female governor.
