John Drew was an American professional basketball player. A small forward from Gardner-Webb University, he played eleven seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Drew was a two-time NBA All-Star, and was one of the earliest casualties of the drug policy instituted by the league commissioner, David Stern.

Drew died on April 10, 2022, at the age of 67. According to his family, Hawks forward Drew died in Houston after a battle with bone cancer.

Drew had been living in Houston with his wife, driving a taxi as a profession, since 1986, when his 11 year NBA career was cut short due to drug addiction.
