On Sunday, April 10, 2022, MC Josephine, the previous chairman of the Kerala Women’s Commission, died.

Josephine served as the chairwoman of the Kerala Women’s Commission from 2017 until 2021. She was a central committee member of the CPM. She formerly served as the executive director of the Greater Cochin Development Authority and the Kerala State Women’s Development Corporation.

According to accounts, Josephine went into cardiac arrest on Saturday, April 9, 2022, and was placed on life support. Despite receiving the greatest possible care, the politician was unable to be saved.

There is no information on whether she was married or had any children.

The medical professionals at the hospital pronounced her dead. It has been revealed that  She passed out while attending the CPM Party Congress in Kannur on Saturday night.

The 71-year-old politician had made a reputation for herself in politics, and she was one of the most successful and well-known politicians in the state, with a large following.

Several politicians paid their respects to the late lawmaker. Josephine had worked relentlessly for the upliftment of women and employees, stated Kerela Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in a condolence letter.
