Jack White was born on July 9, 1975, in Michigan in the United States as the youngest of his parents, Teresa and Gorman M. Gillis. He was raised alongside nine other children as a Catholic. His mother is of Polish ethnicity while his father was Scottish-Canadian.

Jack White is a graduate of Cass Technical High School in Detroit, the only record of his educational background. He got his first movie experience in a role he played in the movie ¨The Rosary Murders¨ in 1987. He is the owner of Third Man Records and one half of the former blues-rock duo the White Stripes.

Jack White is the recipient of 12 Grammy Awards. All three of his solo albums have reached number one on the Billboard charts. He was ranked by Rolling Stone as number 70 on its 2010 list of “The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time”.

Why did Meg White Quit White Stripes?

Meg left the band because “the band was something beautiful, so they decided not to ruin that and preserve its status”.

Are Jack and Meg White still friends?

Despite their divorce in 2000, Jack and Meg are still the best of friends.
