Mark Alan Webber AO was born on August 27, 1976, in Queanbeyan, Australia to parents Diane Webber and Alan Webber. His father Alan worked as a motorcycle dealer and petrol station owner.
Mark Webber has an elder sister, Leanne. He schooled at the nearby Isabella Street Primary School and Karabar High School (KHS). He started karting at age 12 or 13 and then made his F1 debut alongside the Minardi team in the 2002 season, finishing fifth in his first race, the Australian Grand Prix.
Mark Webber has competed in Formula One from 2002 to 2013 as well as the FIA World Endurance Championship between 2014 and 2016. In the 2010, 2011 and 2013 seasons, he won nine F1 Grands Prix, thirteen pole positions and finished third in the World Drivers’ Championship.
Mark Webber is a champion of the 2015 FIA WEC for Porsche with German Timo Bernhard and New Zealander Brendon Hartley. He retired from motorsport in 2016 and became a television pundit for Britain’s Channel 4 and Australia’s Network 10.

Mark Webber is also a driver manager. He received the Australian Sports Medal in 2000 and was appointed Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in the 2017 Australia Day Honours. He has been inducted into both the Australian Motor Sports Hall of Fame and the FIA Hall of Fame.
