Is Gary Nicklaus related to Jack Nicklaus?

Gary Nicklaus is a renowned American professional golfer best known as the son of golfer Jack Nicklaus.

Gary Nicklaus was born on January 15, 1969, in West Palm Beach, Florida, the United States to parents Jack Nicklaus and Barbara Bash. He has featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated billed as “The Next Nicklaus” when he was just 16 years old.

Gary Nicklaus went to Ohio State University where he was an All-American on the golf team. He had qualified for the 1990 U.S. Amateur at Cherry Hills Country Club near Denver but missed the tournament following his illness.

Gary Nicklaus finished his college career in 1991 at Ohio State. He has won the prestigious Porter Cup, again qualifying again for the U.S. Amateur. He spent three years as a member of the PGA Tour from 2000 to 2003 and only made it through the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament on his eighth try in 1999.
