Bridget Poodhun: Who Is John Altman’s Ex-Wife?

EastEnders star, John Altman was married to Bridget Poodhun between 1986-1997 and they share daughter Rosanna, 35.

Not much is mentioned about Bridget Poodhun.

Despite playing such a terrifying character in Nick Cotton John once admitted he’s surprisingly soft-spoken when it comes to finding love, but won’t be tempted to try online dating.

John is known to many for his role as the villainous Nick Cotton, who terrorised his mum Dot on and off for decades.

Along with stealing from her many times, he also faked his own death and claimed he was dying of AIDS.

His life came to a dramatic end in 2015 when Dot opted to let her son die of a heroin overdose, claiming she was letting God decide his fate.

John played the role of Dot Cotton’s infamous son Nick on and off from 1985 to 2015, before he was dramatically killed off during the soap’s 30th Anniversary.

In February 2017, he appeared in June Brown at 90 – A Walford Legend, a special BBC documentary that aired to celebrate June Brown’s 90th birthday.

In April 2020, he appeared with 7 other celebrities in the 4th series of the BBC travel documentary series The Real Marigold Hotel, filmed in Puducherry, India.
