Kanye West was suspended from Instagram for 24 hours after slamming Trevor Noah with a racial slur.

The Daily Show host, Noah addressed the rapper’s treatment of his former wife Kim Kardashian, and her current boyfriend Pete Davidson.

Noah said in the segment: “You may not feel sorry for Kim because she’s rich and famous, but what she’s going through is terrifying to watch and shines a spotlight on what so many women go through when they choose to leave.”

This triggered the rapper to use a racial slur to defend his perspective.

In an Instagram post, Kanye West repeatedly referred to Noah as a “k***”.

He posted a picture of Noah with the caption: “All together now… K**n baya my lord k**n baya k**n baya my lord K**n baya Oooo’ lord K**n baya.”

The racial slur that West used in the caption is an offensive and derogatory term used to refer to a Black person.

The offensive post has since been removed.

Following his backlash, Meta, the parent company of Instagram, slapped a 24-hour suspension on West for the outburst, saying it violated its policies on hate speech, harassment, and bullying.

The suspension began on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, and lasts just 24 hours.
