Maximillian Albert George was born on September 6, 1988, in Swinton, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom. He was born to his mother Barbara George and was raised alongside a brother named Jack George.
Max George studied at Bolton School. He initially started his career as a footballer, playing for Preston North End but ended his football dreams following an injury. He later focused on a music career, making his singing debut with the band Avenue.
Max George joined the newly formed band, The Wanted after the band Avenue disbanded in 2009. He was the lead singer of The Wanted, however, the band decided to break in January 2014.
