According to sources, the offensive statement made by Kennett to Shannyn Ah Sam who is the wife of Rioli led to the retirement of Cyril Rioli. Jeff Kennett allegedly made some offensive and racial statements to Shannyn Ah Sam that is very bad and need to be addressed.

Jeff Kennett made a comment on the designer ripped jeans of Shannyn Ah Sam and offered loose change to help sew them. According to Shannyn Ah Sam, she felt humiliated and belittled by the comment of Jeff Kennett and in addition, she was portrayed as an angry black woman.
