Jen Psaki was born on December 1, 1978, in Stamford, Connecticut, in the United States of America to James R. Psaki and Eileen D. Medvey. Psaki is the oldest of three little girls.
Jen Psaki graduated from Greenwich High School in 1996 and went ahead to graduate from the College of William & Mary with a degree in English and sociology in 2000.

Jen Psaki began her career in 2001 with the re-election campaigns of Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin for the U.S. Senate and Tom Vilsack for governor. She has served as the White House deputy press secretary in 2009, White House deputy communications director from 2009 to 2011, US Department of State spokesperson from 2013 to 2015, and White House communications director from 2015 to 2017 during the Obama administration.
