Jane McDonald is an English singer, songwriter and television presenter. She was born on April 4, 1963, in Wakefield, West Riding of Yorkshire, England.

Jane rose to fame in 1998 following her appearance on the BBC show, The Cruise. The same year, her debut album, Jane McDonald topped the UK Albums Chart and remained there for 3 weeks.

Eddie Rothe was Jane McDonald’s partner and fiance. He was the former drummer of the 60s band The Searchers.
They first dated for a few months back in 1980 when Jane was just 17. They got back together in 2008 and, became engaged after Eddie proposed on Christmas Eve of that year.
