Jess LaCroix, Julian McMahon’s supervising special agent, has died. LaCroix was gunned down in the hospital parking lot by a domestic abuser in the season 3 conclusion of FBI: Most Wanted, which aired in the United States on Tuesday (March 8).

Hudgins went on to say which of the special agent’s coworkers will be the hardest affected by this tragedy: “It’s fascinating because Hana [Gibson] and Sheryll [Barnes] have been there since the beginning. Barnes and Jess were always referred to as work spouses.

“They work together, but you also get the impression that they have a bond outside of work. And I always had the impression that Hana and Jess had a particular bond.
“Watching the two of them deal with it in particular, because they know Jess the longest and have been on this team with him the longest, will be extremely intriguing to see.”
There won’t be much time to mourn, though, because next month brings a brand-new lead in the form of Law & Order: SVU’s Dylan McDermott.
