Dave Chappelle On Will Smith

The Oscars disaster on Sunday night was one of the wildest moments in television history. It all began when Rock made what he thought was a harmless joke about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. Pinkett Smith didn’t enjoy the joke, so Will jumped on stage smacked Chris Rock on the face. Telling him to keep his wife’s name out of his mouth.

Dave Chappelle has been trending on Twitter since the incident between Will Smith and Chris Rock happened last Sunday.

People took to Twitter to compare what Dave Chappelle would have done if he were in Chris Rock’s position. Dave Chappelle has not given an official statement concerning the matter as far as we can tell.

Comedians also reacted to the now-famous incident.  This comes at a time when delivering jokes has become controversial, with certain topics entirely off-limits. Fans of stand-up comedy may recall Dave Chappelle’s backlash for making jokes about the transgender community. Will Smith has taken a stand against making fun of medical issues when it involves his wife.
