Liza Minnelli presented the award for best picture Sunday night with a lot of laughter and a little extra help from Lady Gaga, who eased the 76 year old through a few rocky moments on stage.

Minnelli laughed as Gaga called her a legend and acknowledged her 1973 Oscar win for her work in 1972’s Cabaret. The two exchanged pleasantries as they read out as they read the names of the nominees.

Lady Gaga has been received praise for her kind gesture towards Liza Minnelli at the 2022 Oscars. During the awards ceremony, Gaga and Minnelli presented the Best Picture award. Gaga while presenting the award, started with a speech praising the Cabaret actor.
Throughout the presentation, fans could see the excitement in the eyes of the two and praised Lady Gaga and Minnelli for their surprise appearance.
