In the history, of the Oscars, there have been three people who have refused the awards: actors George C. Scott and Marlon Brando and screenwriter, Dudley Nicolas.

Dudley Nicolas refused his Oscar because of a union boycott of the awards that year while George Scott also said he did not feel himself to compete with other actors.
