Why was Jamie Lee Curtis disinherited?

Tony Curtis updated his Will and Trust in May 2011, only months before passing away from cardiac arrest. When he did this, he removed all of his children. His will names all five, including Jamie Lee, and indicates that he purposefully disinherited them. No reason was given in his will.

Allegra Curtis, one of his daughters, stated in an interview that the family was outraged since the widow, Jill, was the only one to benefit from the auction. She made the arrangements without informing his children. Even sadder, Allegra stated that she did not provide them with anything sentimental to remember their father by.

Kelly Lee Curtis did more than just make accusations to the press. She went on to sue over her father’s trust, alleging Jill and others of forcing Tony to change who he left his money to using “duress, menace, fraud, or undue influence.” That lawsuit is still open and proceeding in a court in Las Vegas.

So far, Jamie Lee Curtis has stayed out of the controversy.
