The Foo Fighter’s band confirmed the death of the hard-hitting charismatic musician at the age of 50. Hawkins was found dead in a hotel room in the North of Bogota, Columbia where the band were due to play a festival on Friday Night.

No cause of death was immediately announced.
The band was on tour in South America at the time of the announcement and was scheduled to perform at the Estereo Picnic festival in Bogota that night.

Taylor Hawkins was an American musician. He was best known as the drummer for the rock band, Foo Fighters. He was born on February 17, 1972, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Taylor joined the Foo Fighters band in 1996. In addition to his drumming duties with the Foo Fighters, Hawkins also provided vocals, guitar and piano to various recordings. He performed the lead vocals on a cover of Pink Floyd’s Have a Cigar.
