After promising a full album of Dream Widow material following the release of Foo Fighters’ new horror movie Studio 666 last month, Dave Grohl finally delivered, offering up eight tracks of unbridled heavy metal.

Other album highlights include the previously released March of the Insane, the harmonized guitars of Angel With Severed Wings and Come All Ye Unfaithful, and closer Lacrimus dei Ebrius, a 10-minute epic that draws influence from bands like Trouble, Corrosion of Conformity, and Kyuss.

Grohl is the architect of the album as a whole – handling vocals, guitar, bass, and drums – but is assisted by Jim Rota of Fireball Ministry on lead guitar. The pair are joined on select tracks by keyboardists Rami Jaffee.
Grohl is best known as the drummer for the Seattle grunge band Nirvana and the frontman and guitarist of Foo Fighters.
At 17, Grohl joined the punk rock band Scream after the departure of their drummer Kent Stax.
