Yarnell Sampson is the father of the 14-year-old Tyre Sampson who died after falling from the Free Fall ride at ICON Park in Orlando Thursday night.

Yarnell spoke out publicly about his son on Friday afternoon after the incident occurred. He explained that when he heard the news, he felt somebody hit him so hard in the stomach. He added that the pain of his son’s death at a tender age cannot be taken away.

“It felt like somebody hit me so hard in my stomach. I just lost, I lost, lost wind. And the pain behind it could never be taken away, and sorry’s not gonna take it back and no monies, no nothing in the world to replace the young man.
And it’s just sad, a young man’s bright future was taken away from him over a ride, an amusement park,”.
Tyre’s football coach also shared some of his memories with Tyre before his sudden demise.
