How Did Tshegofatso Pule Die?

On June 4, 2020, Pule, a 28-year-old beautician, died. In Roodepoort, she was discovered hanging from a tree.

Following Malephane’s guilty plea in January of last year, Shoba was named as a suspect in Pule’s murder. Malephane admitted to killing Pule on Shoba’s orders, according to reports.

Tshegofatso Pule’s killer admitted to the Johannesburg High Court that there had been multiple attempts on her life.

Pule was “expected to die” a week before she was murdered, according to crucial state witness Muzikayise Malephane.

On Tuesday, Malephane testified about how Ntuthuko Shoba hired him to murder Pule.

“Shoba told me that a girl set up an interview for Pule,” Malephane claimed. He didn’t provide me with any information about the girl. Pule was supposed to be waiting for me after the interview.

Tshephiso Tsita’s account was corroborated by Malephane.

Tsita described how Pule was contacted by a recruitment firm and offered a job in the beauty sector.

“Shoba did not want his wife to find out that he pregnant someone else [Pule],” Malephane testified when asked why Shoba wanted to kill Pule.
