Lorenzen Wright was an American professional basketball player who played 13 seasons in the National Basketball Association.

Lorenzen Vern-Gagne Wright was born on November 4, 1975, in Oxford, Mississippi, the United States to parents Deborah Marion and Herb Wright. He was raised alongside three siblings Lou Wright, Adriane Harris and Savia Archie.
Lorenzen Wright’s father, Herb, was a professional basketball player who competed in Finland. He played for Lafayette High School in Mississippi and later relocated to Memphis. There he spent his senior year playing for Booker T. Washington High School.
Lorenzen Wright was selected seventh overall by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 1996 NBA Draft out of the University of Memphis. He later went back to the University of Memphis to finish his degree during the summer of 2003.

Lorenzen Wright has played for the Atlanta Hawks, Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings, and Cleveland Cavaliers. He is the father of Lorenzen Wright Jr., Loren Wright, Sofia Wright, Sierra Wright, Shamar Wright, Lamar Wright and Lawson Wright.
What happen to Lorenzen Wright?
Lorenzen Wright died due to being shot twice in the head, twice near his heart and once in the forearm. He passed away on July 19, 2010, in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. His decomposing body was found in a swampy field in east Memphis (on Callis-Cutoff Road just west of Hacks Cross Road) on July 28, 2010.
Lorenzen Wright was found after been missing for days before his body was discovered. His body is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee. His ex-wife has been charged with murder in his death, alongside Billy Ray Turner who was found guilty of first-degree murder, attempted murder, and conspiracy.
