Clarence Thomas is an American lawyer who serves as an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.

He was nominated by President George H. W. Bush to succeed Thurgood Marshall and has served since 1991. Thomas is the second African-American to serve on the Court, after Marshall.
Clarence Thomas is the second black justice and the only one currently sitting on the bench. As a Supreme Court justice, Thomas is notorious for his lack of questions during oral arguments.

Clarence Thomas Doesn’t Have COVID
Justice Clarence Thomas, who remains hospitalized in Washington, does not have COVID-19, the Supreme Court said Monday.

The court provided no additional information about the infection that put Thomas in the hospital on Friday, other than to say he is responding to intravenous antibiotics.
So What Disease Does Justice Clarence Thomas Have?
Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, 73, has been hospitalized with an infection since Friday and is expected to be released within the next couple of days, according to the court.
Thomas was admitted to Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C., on Friday evening after experiencing “flu-like symptoms,” the Supreme Court said in a statement on Sunday evening.
“He underwent tests, was diagnosed with an infection and is being treated with intravenous antibiotics. His symptoms are abating, he is resting comfortably, and he expects to be released from the hospital in a day or two,” read the court’s statement.
