The prize pool for the 2022 Valspar Championship is substantial, and the Valspar Championship first-place payout is comparable to that of the PGA Tour. The purse for the 2022 Valspar Championship is $7.8 million, slightly higher compared to $900,000 from the previous year.

Sam Burns won again at the Valspar Championship on Sunday, and it was nothing like the one he had a year ago. That’s not even close. On the 16th green, he lowered his arms and shook his fists forcefully as raw emotion poured out of him, a reaction worthy under the circumstances.

Burns completed his back-to-back victories at Innisbrook with a birdie putt from just outside 30 feet on the second playoff hole to defeat PGA Tour rookie and longtime friend Davis Riley.
“It felt like it looked,” Burns said, holding the trophy from his third PGA Tour victory in the last year, a streak that began with his first win at the Valspar Championship last year, which he won by three shots.
“All day, I was just trying to stay even-keeled and make sure I didn’t get too high or too low,” he explained. “And seeing that go in, that’s exactly how I felt.”
