Shokrollah Jebeli is an Australian-Iranian citizen who served a number of years in jail at Iran’s Evin prison. Shokrollah Jebeli had declining health prior to his death and it is known that the prison in which he served was very notorious.

Shokrollah Jebeli was imprisoned in January 2020 as a result of some financial dispute and he died at the age of 83 years. It was reported that some Iranian authorities deliberately put Shokrollah Jebeli in a bad state and that declined his health.

According to reports from Amnesty International, Shokrollah Jebeli was tortured and was denied adequate specialized medical care although he suffered serious health conditions and complications.
Amnesty International showed concern about the welfare of Shokrollah Jebeli and his family also demanded his release after his health life declined gradually. Amnesty International added that Shokrollah Jebeli’s fair trial rights rendering his detention arbitrary have been violated and his fair trial rights have also been violated.
