The Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, Spain, is a football stadium. Since its completion in 1947, it has been the home stadium of Real Madrid, with a current seating capacity of 81,044. After Camp Nou and Westfalenstadion, it is Spain’s second-largest stadium and the third-largest home to a top-flight European club.

The stadium is one of the most famous football venues in the world. It is named after former Real Madrid president and footballer Santiago Bernabéu. On four occasions, it has hosted the European Cup/UEFA Champions League final: in 1957, 1969, 1980, and 2010. Santiago Bernabéu also hosted the second leg of the 2018 Copa Libertadores Finals, making it the first (and only) stadium in the world to host two of the most important continental cup finals (UEFA Champions League and Copa Libertadores).
Santiago Bernabeu is widely regarded as one of Real Madrid’s most important figures, having served as the club’s president for 35 years, from September 11, 1943, until his death in 1978. The team’s current stadium is named in his honour.
