Thai-British Formula One driver for Williams, Alex Albon, will return to the Formula 1 grid in 2022 after securing a deal to race with Williams, with the British team also confirming Nicholas Latifi will stay on for a third campaign.

Albon has fulfilled reserve and test driver duties for Red Bull this season after losing his race seat to Sergio Perez.
Albon took his first podium finish – and the first for a Thai driver – at the 2020 Tuscan Grand Prix.

After two seasons in Formula One, Albon was demoted to a test and reserve driver role with Red Bull for 2021, and his seat was taken by Sergio Pérez.
