Nico Hulkenberg, a former Formula One racer, will continue to serve as Aston Martin’s test and reserve driver in 2022. Hulkenberg has started 179 Grands Prix since his debut in 2010 and has spent a large amount of time with the Silverstone-based team.

As of December 2020, Hülkenberg holds the record for the most Formula One career starts without a podium finish, a record he broke after he failed to finish his 129th race (the 2017 Singapore Grand Prix), passing Adrian Sutil’s previous mark of 128; Hülkenberg’s record stands at 179 Grands Prix.
