Laci left behind a strong legacy at the high school, where she was a multi-sport athlete up until her graduation in 2021. She earned all-district selections in both volleyball and softball as well as being named co-MVP in 2019 and 2020, and MVP in 2021.

New Mexico University golf team player dies in an accident
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a van from the University of the Southwest, carrying members of the university’s golf team, crashed with a Ford pickup truck near Texas State Highway 115 and Texas Farm-to-Market Road 1788 on Tuesday night.
Nine are dead including; Laci Stone was a freshman majoring in Global Business Management at the University of the Southwest and two others are injured following a crash near Andrews, TX involving students from the University of the Southwest.
