Counting Crows is an American rock band from San Francisco, California.

Formed in 1991, the band consists of guitarist David Bryson, drummer Jim Bogios, vocalist Adam Duritz, keyboardist Charlie Gillingham, multi-instrumentalist David Immerglück, bassist Millard Powers, and guitarist Dan Vickrey.
Adam Duritz is the lead singer of Counting Crows.
Counting Crows gained popularity following the release of its debut album, August and Everything After (1993). Featuring the breakthrough hit single “Mr. Jones” (1993), the album sold more than seven million copies in the United States.

What does the term Counting Crows mean?
The band name derives from “One for Sorrow”, a British divination nursery rhyme about the superstitious counting of magpies, which are members of the crow family.
