Pierre Zakrzewski, a cameraman who works for Fox News, was killed in Ukraine on Monday. He was with a correspondent, Benjamin Hall reporting in Horeka, outside Kyvi, when their vehicle came under fire.

Pierre lost his life while Benjamine Hall is responding to treatment in Ukraine. According to a post by the CEO of Fox News, Pierre was a war zone photographer who covered nearly every international story for Fox News from Iraq to Afghanistan to Syria during his stay there.

The memo by the CEO mentioned that last year, he played a key role in getting their Afgan freelance associates and families out of the country after the U.S withdrawal. In December at their annual employee Spotlight Awards, he was given the Unsung Hero award in recognition of his work.
