Kye Whyte is a British male BMX racer.

Kye Whyte’s parents are known simply as Nigel and Tracey.

Kye Whyte was first taken to BMX with his brothers and he remembers it mostly because he had terrible asthma, improved by the cycling, and eczema which was made so much worse in sweaty protective gear.

Kye Whyte was a silver medallist at the 2020 Summer Olympics and is currently competing in the fourteenth series of Dancing on Ice.

Kye Whyte won a European championship silver medal behind teammate Kyle Evans in Glasgow in 2018. A first UCI BMX Supercross World Cup victory came in Manchester in April 2019.

At the 2019 UCI BMX World Championships Kye Whyte again looked to be continuing his form on his way to the final, but his hopes of a medal were ended as he was caught behind a crash, eventually finishing fifth.[

On 20 June 2021, Kye Whyte was named in the British team for the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where he won a silver medal in a close contest with the Netherlands’ Niek Kimmann.

Kye Whyte trains at The Peckham BMX Club, which has become quite a legendary institution in the world of British BMX racing.

Kye Whyte is the eighth member of the club to have won a place on the Great Britain Cycling Team.
