Talented ‘Soul City’ and ‘The Estate’ actor Siyanda Sesimani passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022, following a brutal attack.

According to a reliable source, the Soul City star died before he was to undergo surgery this coming Monday which would also have been his birthday.
Sesimani was allegedly brutally beaten in a mysterious attack last week and had been admitted to the hospital for medical treatment.

TV presenter Zola Hashatsi had taken to his Instagram account to announce the passing of Sesimani.

Alongside a picture of the actor, Zola wrote: “Sad to announce the passing of my dear friend Siyanda Siya Sesimani @siyasesimani
“He’s been fighting for his life in hospital after he was attacked and beaten to a pulp. He was meant to go for surgery on Monday (his birthday).
“He was a son, a brother, a friend, and a father. May his beautiful soul rest in peace”.
Sesimani— who has also worked on TV productions Ikhaya, iSithembiso, and The Estate — leaves behind a three-year-old daughter.
Sesimani won the hearts of many when he portrayed Mandla on the critically acclaimed, award-winning SABC 1 edutainment drama Soul City.
He joined the show during its 11th season and soon became a household name with a devoted fan base.
