The performer, who pointed out that she easily could have died from her injuries, told the podcast’s host, Kate Roberts, that she did not understand how she was able to take the intense pain during her journey to a medical facility.
Ashley pointed out that she was unafraid of showing her emotions during the journey, although she noted that she would have liked to lose consciousness to circumvent the pain.
The Heat actress made a point of thanking her ‘Congolese brothers’ who transported her ‘up and over hills, through the river’ following the accident.
The Olympus Has Fallen cast member did not attempt to lie to herself after her injury and was committed to getting medical attention.
‘I just had no expectations, and I knew that I could only do it one breath at a time,’ she stated at the time.
