Ronald Henry Pember was born in Plaistow on April 11, 1934. Ron worked as a British actor and stage director, appearing in numerous TV shows and films.

Between the 1960s and the 1980s, he worked as a character actor in British television programs for nearly thirty years. In 1968, he also appeared in For Amusement Only, The Root of All Evil, and The Saint.
Between 1961 through 1969, Ron also appeared in the television series The Avengers. In 1973, he starred as a neighbour in New Scotland and Emmerdale, as well as in the BAFTA-winning Secret Army in 1977.
Ron is best remembered for his role as Baz in Only Fools and Horses, which he first appeared in 1983. Ron’s most recent television appearance was in Covington Cross in 1992. Ron had enjoyed a private personal life before his death
