Obviously, Lee must have been married with children. An exclusive interview with Lee years back showed that he was a grandfather before he died.
Lee stated that he was content to give his grandkids a cuddle on a Saturday afternoon or take a gentle hike on the sea-front at Lytham St Annes, where he is enjoying a happy and fruitful retirement, rather than perched in a freezing dug-out, breathing fire for 90 emotion-fuelled minutes.

Lee played as a defender for Villa — where he won the 1961 League Cup, and Shrewsbury, before moving into management with Port Vale in 1968.

Born in Cannock in Staffordshire, Lee began his playing career at Hednesford Town before joining Aston Villa in 1955.
He cut his managerial teeth at Port Vale, succeeding Stanley Matthews and guiding Vale into the Third Division. He then earned promotion to the Second Division with Blackburn, which prompted Newcastle to secure his services in 1975.
Lee managed Everton between 1977-1981 and helped them reach the 1977 League Cup final, which they lost to Aston Villa after two replays. He also led them to two FA Cup semi-finals and two top-four finishes in the top-flight.
Lee also managed Newcastle United and Blackburn Rovers, and spent a season in charge of Leicester City as caretaker manager.
