On Friday, Warne, 52, died after a suspected heart attack in a villa on Koh Samui.

Warne was staying at the villa with four pals, according to Thai authorities, and when one of the group went to wake Shane for food at around 5 p.m. local time today, he was found lifeless.

Officers claimed Warne’s companions gave him CPR for about 20 minutes before an ambulance arrived and brought him to the Thai International Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Yuttana Sirisomba, superintendent at Koh Samui’s Bo Phut police station, told reporters that he had received medical information from Warne’s family on Saturday.

Yuttana went on to say that Warne had lately “visited a doctor regarding his heart.”
He stated that the Australian’s remains would be moved to Surat Thani on the Thai mainland for an autopsy on Sunday.

Yuttana stated that he had no idea how long the autopsy would take.
“I’m not sure since it relies on the doctor,” he replied.
When asked about the probable cause of death, he declined to respond.
