The Stephen M. Ross School of Business, formerly known as the University of Michigan School of Business Administration, gained its current name in 2004 as a result of a $100 million naming gift from the real-estate developer and philanthropist Stephen M. Ross.

Today, the Stephen M. Ross School of Business has over 4,200 students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs, with women accounting for 45 per cent of the full-time MBA class of 2021. There are about 150 full-time faculty members at the school, with an additional 71 adjunct or visiting faculty members. 3

Undergraduate majors in traditional business school areas like accounting, finance, management, and marketing are available at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business. In addition, the school runs a network of research centres that specialize in areas such as leadership development, sustainable development, and entrepreneurship.
These include, among others, the Sanger Leadership Center, the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise, and the Zell Lurie Institute.
