On the contrary, Jon Stewart covered the VA’s screwing of American troops suffering from malignancies and other catastrophic diseases from living near or working at burn pits while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Stewart is fully vegan now. He went vegetarian around the time that he left his role as the host of “The Daily Show” in 2015.

At the wrap party, which consisted of catering tables lined with sliders, Stewart ate the only option available: a poached pear and almond butter sandwich. “That was when I first realized, ‘oh, pigs have a personality,’” he said.

It was around that time that he and his wife Tracey started working on their animal sanctuary, Hockhockson Farm Foundation in New Jersey. It’s currently home to horses, pigs, chickens, a goat, and sheep.

Jon started his career as a stand-up comedian before moving into television as the host of Comedy Central’s Short Attention Span Theater.

Similarly, he anchored MTV’s You Wrote It; You Watch It (1992–1993) and The Jon Stewart Show (1993–1995) until The Jon Stewart Show was retooled, rejected by the network, and moved to syndication.

Likewise, Stewart has also appeared in several films, including Big Daddy (1999) and Death to Smoochy (2002), but after taking over as host of The Daily Show in 1999, he did very little film work.
