A 20-year-old Black man, Daunte Wright, was shot dead by an American police officer called Kimberly Potter on April 11, 2021. This incident was of great concern to many people as police shooting incidents are increasing in the United States of America.

Kimberly Potter shot Daunte Wright at a traffic stop and he crashed his car against a concrete barrier. After police tried to administer CPR to Daunte Wright, it was not successful and Daunte died at the scene.

Daunte Wright was a 20-year-old man from Minneapolis and he was a father of a two-year-old son. Prior to Daunte Wright’s death, he worked in a retail and fast-food job.
Kimberly Potter is a 48-year-old police officer who is an alumnus of the Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Kimberly Potter is from Champlin, Minnesota, and she has two children.
