Priscilla Murray Gibson Cause Of Death: What Happened To Tyrese Gibson’s Mother?

Priscilla Murray Gibson, the mother of American singer and actor, Tyrese Gibson, died on Monday, February 14, 2022, after suffering from Covid-19 and pneumonia.

Murray had been hospitalized before she passed on.

“On behalf of my family and everyone who ever spent any time praying for my mother, this is the saddest moment of my life. My sweet Valentine just passed away”, Gibson wrote on Instagram.

Gibson had previously shared his mother’s health battle and had asked supporters for prayers.

“May the Lord Jesus Christ honor your walk with him and embrace you into the heavens,” he wrote, along with a video of himself holding his mom’s hand in her hospital bed.

“From here on I ask that you HOLD MY HAND MOTHER and never let my hand go………. Like you held my hand as a child and a teen never let my hand go mother,” Gibson added.

Gibson is the youngest of four siblings.

Gibson released his self-titled debut studio album in 1998, which featured the single “Sweet Lady”, peaking at number twelve on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.

He was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best R&B Album for his fifth album Open Invitation (2011). His sixth album, Black Rose (2015), debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200, becoming his highest-charting album. He has sold over 4 million records in the United States.
