Is Snoop Dogg the owner of Death Row Records?
Snoop Dogg has acquired the record label that launched his career, Death Row Records. The announcement was made on February 8, 2022. He acquired the record from private equity controlled by MNRK Music Group.
“I am thrilled and appreciative of the opportunity to acquire the iconic and culturally significant Death Row Records brand, which has immense untapped future value. It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members. This is an extremely meaningful moment for me,” Snoop Dogg said in a statement.

How much did Snoop Dog buy Death Row Records for?
Snoop Dogg has not officially announced how much money he purchased Death Row Records for. However, sources indicate that the label filed for bankruptcy in 2006 and was acquired at an auction three years later for $18 million.
Looking at the inflation rate of things over the years, it is believed that Snoop might have bought the label at a much higher price.
