The deceased, Ashling Murphy, was fatally assaulted on Jan. 19, 2022 while jogging along the Grand Canal at around 4pm.
Ashling Murphy was from the townland of Blueball, just outside of Tullamore, and taught at nearby Durrow National School.
Jozef Puska replied “no” when the charge of murder was put to him.
