James Skalski was born on February 2, 1998, in the United States of America. He is the son of John and Sherri Skalski. He has an older sister named Brenna who played softball at Georgia State.
James Skalski lost his father following a heart attack on October 14, 2016, while mowing the lawn. He attended Northgate High School in Newnan, Georgia, where he played soccer as well as linebacker and punter on the gridiron.
