Harry Mason Reid Jr was born on December 2, 1939, in Searchlight, Nevada, the United States as the third of four sons of Harry Reid (a rock miner) and Inez Orena Jaynes Reid, a laundress.

Harry Reid went to attend Basic High School and later proceeded to Southern Utah University, graduating in 1961, where he double-majored in political science and history. He also minored in economics at Utah State’s School of Commerce and Business Administration.

Harry Reid later attended George Washington University Law School while working as a police officer for the United States Capitol Police. He earned his Juris Doctor in 1964.

Harry Reid was elected to the United States Senate in 1986 and served in the Senate from 1987 to 2017. He also served as the Senate Democratic Whip from 1999 to 2005 before succeeding Tom Daschle as Senate Minority Leader.

Harry Reid became the Senate Majority Leader in 2007 and has served as Senate Minority Leader from 2015 until his retirement in 2017. He was one of only three senators to have served at least eight years as majority leader.

Who Is Harry Reid’s Wife Landra Gould?

Landra Gould was born in 1946 to Jewish immigrant parents. She was brought up in Henderson, Nevada, a suburb of Las Vegas.

Landra Gould’s parents were Orthodox Jews and her father worked as a drug specialist. Not much is known regarding Landra Gould early life, and personal background.

Landra Gould met Harry Reid during his junior year of high school, where she was then a sophomore. They later got married in 1959 and together hаvе fivе children: 4 sons including Rory Reid, Key Reid, Leif Reid, Josh Reid as well as a daughter Lana Reid.

Landra Gould and Harry Reid converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints while Harry was a college student. Landra was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in September 2011 and has been receiving at an undisclosed Washington facility.
