Carson Brown Strong was born on September 14, 1999, in Vacaville, California, United States. He attended Will C. Wood High School in Vacaville, California.

Carson Strong committed to the University of Nevada, Reno to play college football on June 6, 2017, as a three-star recruit. He later made his debut at Nevada against Portland State on August 31, 2018.
