Susanna Victoria Reid was born on December 10, 1970, in Croydon, United Kingdom. Her father was a management consultant, while her mother was a nurse. However, her parents separated and divorced when she was only 9 years old.

Susanna Reid schooled at the independent Croham Hurst School from 1975 to 1981. She later attended the independent Croydon High School (1981–87) and then St Paul’s Girls’ School (1987–89) in London.

Susanna Reid studied Politics and Philosophy at the University of Bristol (1989–92), graduating with a Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism. She was a co-presenter of BBC Breakfast from 2003 until 2014 alongside Bill Turnbull and Charlie Stayt.

Susanna Reid had finished as a runner-up on the eleventh series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2013. She has been the lead presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain alongside Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway since 2014.

Susanna Reid has also presented Sunday Morning Live on BBC One from 2010 to 2011.
