2021’s Miss Universe Jamaica winner was announced October 30, 2021. Daena Soares was crowned the winner on that Saturday night at the pageant which was held at Hotel Riu Montego Bay, Montego Bay, Jamaica. Aside from the honor and prestige that comes with the crown, Soares will represent Jamaica at the 70th Miss Universe pageantry in Eilat, Israel on December 12, 2021.

Who Is Daena Soares, Miss Universe Jamaica 2021?
Daena Soares is a 22-year old Jamaican from Breadbasket Parish, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. She completed her schooling at Hampton School for girls and recently graduated from the University of the West Indies where she studied Basic Medical Science. Soares describes herself as a bookworm, a lover of pageantry, and an advocate of women’s affairs.

There are not many details about Soares’ parents yet. Soares, however, revealed in an interview that coupled with her interest in pageantry, it was her father who urged her to give Miss Universe Jamaica a shot, and clearly, her dad’s advice did not miss the mark.
