Who Is Bipin Rawat’s Wife Madhulika Rawat?

Madhulika Rawat was the wife of India’s Chief of Defense Staff Bipin Rawat. She was an Indian social worker and the president of the Defence Wives Welfare Association (DWWA). Madhulika was passionate about ensuring the well-being of the wives, children, and dependents of defense personnel.

Born on 7th February 1963, Madhulika was a descendant of what used to be a princely family. Madhulika was the daughter of Kunwar Mrigendra Singh, who was once a Riyasatdar of the pargana of Sohagpur Riyasat in Shahdol district, and an Indian National Congress MLA from the district in 1967 and 1972.

Bipin Rawat’s wife did her schooling in Gwalior’s Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya and studied psychology at Delhi University. The CDS wife was also involved with NGOs like Veer Naris which helps widows of military personnel, differently-abled children, and cancer patients.

She married CDS Bipin Rawat in 1985 and had two daughters with him.

On Wednesday, 8th December 2021, Madhulika Rawat, her husband, along with some other senior army personnel died while aboard an Indian Air Force Mil Mi-17 helicopter that crashed in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu, on its way from the Sulur Air Force Base to the Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Wellington, where Bipin Rawat was to deliver a lecture.
