John Miles, known officially as John Errington, was a British rock music vocalist and instrumentalist who won the Outstanding Musical Achievement Award at the 2017 Progressive Music Awards.

John Miles was born in Jarrow, County Durham and attended Jarrow Grammar School in Jarrow, South Tyneside. John Miles was a member of “The Influence” local band with consisted of Paul Thompson and Vic Malcolm.
